Writing Your Life

Learn to transform your memories into narrative that resonates with truth and style. In this seven-week course we use guided visualization to evoke images of the past, then free-write with inspirational prompts. We also focus on the craft of memoir writing, including developing characters, using sensory imagery, creating metaphor to extend meaning, and discovering a unique voice as the narrator of your life’s journey. Limited to twelve participants.

Honing the Craft of Writing

Do you want to bring your writing to the next level?

In this eight-week course, participants bring in written pieces and we examine them with the goal of shaping each piece into its full potential. This is for writers who want not only affirmation, but also sharpening of their writing skills and development of a more focused  narrative voice. There will be discussion of and exercises in the craft of writing, and some time for short in-class writing at the beginning of each class. Limited to eight participants.
